Kitty on a Diet

Someone in this household has been packing on a few pounds lately. That someone can also be found by her empty food bowl day and night begging... Yes, it is our cat Lily. (Who were you thinking??)

We came home from Christmas break to a fat cat. Giving her access to food 24/7 may have been a bad idea. Depression and abandonment may have also contributed to her rapid weight gain.

A cat her size is supposed to eat 1/2-1 cup of cat food a day. If it were up to her, she would eat 5 cups. We have been trying to limit the amount of food we give her, but she has found a way around this.

Why wait for food when you can get it straight from the bag. Yummm!
